Dr. Sherril Durbin’s medical career has been shaped by her dedication to service, both in civilian life and in the United States Army. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, she pursued a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology at the University of Texas at Arlington before earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth. Her medical journey began with a transitional internship at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center and continued as she served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps, ultimately achieving the rank of Major.

While stationed in Karlsruhe, Germany, Dr. Durbin served as Director of Clinical Services at the 3rd General Dispensary, providing comprehensive care across emergency medicine, pediatrics, adult medicine, gynecology, and orthopedics. Her experience in military and civilian healthcare settings laid the groundwork for her ongoing commitment to community care.

In 1999, she founded Durbin Family Practice, P.A., where she continues to practice primary care and office gynecology with an emphasis on personalized, compassionate service. She is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians and affiliated with Huguley Hospital in Fort Worth and Medical City Arlington.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Durbin contributes to the future of medicine by mentoring medical and physician assistant students as a preceptor through the University of North Texas.

Beyond medicine, Dr. Durbin enjoys hiking, gardening, and caring for small farm animals. She is married and proud to be the mother of two daughters.
