Carol knew she wanted to be a nurse when she was 12 years old. She served as a Candy Striper/Jr. Volunteer at Harris HEB Hospital for several years as a young teen. She grew up in Fort Worth where she graduated from W.E. Boswell High School. Carol received her BSN from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX in 1996.

Carol has worked in many different areas as an RN and Charge Nurse, including Internal Medicine, Women’s Health, Nephrology, School Nursing, and Medical/Surgical Nursing. This has given her a very diverse background and challenged her to always seek out new learning opportunities.

She received her MS from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX in 2010. As an FNP, she has practiced medicine in both Family Practice and Internal Medicine, where she received national recognition for her Diabetes Care from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) in 2013. She believes in treating the whole person: mind, body, and spirit.
